Prema Bhakti Candrika
Prema Bhakti Cāndrikā, "The Moonlight of Loving Devotional Service," is a work in Bengali language, made of songs, poems, and prayers, composed by Śrīla Narottama Dāsa Ṭhākura around 400 years ago.
It is also known as Śrī Rūpānuga-Gītā, since it is considered to contain in essence the main teachings of Śrī Caitanya Mahaprabhu, as expressed by Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī.
This is one of the only two works by Narottama Dās Ṭhākura and one of the only two books, which Ṣrīla Gaura Kiśora Dāsa Bābājī Maharāja carried with him. Several Acāryas have considered this as one of the highest contribution to the Caitanya Vaiṣṇava tradition. The sense of the title is that the rays of the moonlight of the loving devotional service are so soothing that are able to cool down the burning fire of the material existence, enabling the embodied soul to taste the nectar of the loving devotional service to Śrī Śrī Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa.
